I have a motor with a 12mm axle, I am trying to find a wheel and hub combo (wheel needs to be fairly sturdy).
I want to go with this wheel robotshop.com/ca/en/12mm-key-hub-nexus.html
Will the hub be compatible with the wheel? Thanks.

Not at all - the hub’s 6-hole mounting pattern is very different from the wheel’s 4-hole pattern.
The manufacturer of that wheel unfortunately does not have a 12mm hub compatible with that wheel.
Some wheels which are compatible with that hub include:

Great thank you very much
Hey Gordon,
How did you come by your wheel choice? What’s the project… if it’s alright to ask?
I actually ended up going with an RC wheel/tire combination in my ROVer project… they just look cool
Nick.
I need something that will be able to grip really well, so I am leaning towards rubber wheels. I’m working on a robot that can climb up cylinders. Eventually they will need to hold up to 10kg of weight per wheel. My motor has a gearbox with a 12mm axle, so I need a wheel hub that can accommodate the axle. This is a cheap substitute to see if I can get everything to work before I buy a proper wheel set and machine some hubs for myself.
Very cool Gordon!
Is this for a commercial application of some sort or just a hobby project? Are you designing it to accommodate cylinders of different diameter …eventually, I mean, once your concept is proven?
Cheers,
Nick.
Commercial, hence the vagueness. It will be for one diameter at first, we may adapt it for different sizes later on.
