Whats a good book or website for beginner circuits?

Just wondering whats all out there. If I can get a good idea about circuits then I can make my own boards better. :)

Think somebody mentinoed Pratical Electronics for Inventors recently.

I like the Art of Electronics but it is a bit dataed

been there done that
There is a book on amazon that I might get. I have checked all the "Beginner" sites and they are not done very well. I think a book would be best for me. So that I can go forward and backward as needed. I was mostly asking if anyone had experiance with a site or book that they think helped them out the best. I even did google beginner electronic circuits. Still havent found a good site yet. :slight_smile:

Imho, one the best beginner book for robotic related electronic is ‘Robot Building for Beginners’ from David Cook

For more experienced users the book ‘Intermediate Robot Building’ is worth reading.

Forrest Mims

Some of the best beginner electronics books are those by Forrest Mims, and were once sold by Radio Shack (maybe they still are, but maybe not). Well worth a search for those on secondhand book sites and eBay. Ferrest Mims’ own website:

When I first start learning
When I first start learning about a project/concept/etc. I find my nearest used bookstore. Usually, you can find a few college textbooks there (from desperate students neeing money), and they’re cheap too!
