What Motor Controller Do I need?

Here are the specs of my Motor. I need an input for my battery and RF Receiver. When I tested the motor, the wheels turned in opposite directions. The Wheels are differential. Please recommend a few motor controller options for me please:

Hi,

Are you looking for a motor controller for a motor that you already have ?
If so, the electrical specifications of the motor is what you should look into (operating voltage range, maximum current consumption, controlling method).
This blog post might help you to choose a motor controller that fits your needs.

The blog post is really helpful. thank you. But the specifications of the motor i have are not readily obtainable, being that this motor was taken from a mobility chair. Does this driver give me everything i need:

Hi,

The RB-Dim-45 has an operating voltage of 6V-30V and can provide up to 50A of continuous current. You will need to verify if your motor meets these specs.
Is there a model number/product code on the motor ?

I took this motor from an old Mobility Scooter. I called the manufacturer of the Scooter and they don’t make the motor, they buy it from another company, so they had no data sheets for the motor. Best i can tell you is that the motor can carry up to 275 pounds.

You can measure the current draw of the motor under maximum load with an amperemeter connected in series.
In general, a 1000W electric scooter motor will consume between 20 and 35Amps under normal operation.
You should be OK with the SyRen 50A 6V-30V Regenerative Motor Driver.
