Hi all,
I’ve had a Parrot Bebop 2 for over a year now and I’ve only flown it maybe 5 times. I’m not a very outgoing person, but I always enjoy flying my Bebop 2 whenever I get around to it. The main reason I don’t fly it very often is because I just don’t know what I want to actually do with it. Do I wan’t to get some nice cinematic shots of my city? Maybe just do some little tricks and fly around at high speed?
I’m really curious on what everybody here gets excited thinking about when it comes to planning on flying your drone.
That’s a nice drone that you have. Too bad that you don’t fly it too much :\
What I’ve seen in Serbia (Eastern Europe), there are a lot of people that are renting drones for wedding shootings. Literally, a guy would come to a wedding and fly a drone above guest, above church, etc. and it would take a cool videos, and it would add some cool music later. Also, they are renting them for all kind of other gatherings (team buildings, car meetings, marathons, etc.).
So, maybe you could do something similar, and start your own business
FPV with goggles and head tracking makes for a great experience. The issue for a while now has been the increasing regulations, so finding nice places to fly where people won’t be disturbed or ask that you stop are becoming increasingly rare. We have very nice forested areas north of where I live, though finding a downed drone, let alone climbing to get it in a tree is not fun (and often not safe). You can also hone your piloting skills (and get a better understanding of the drone’s capabilities). We had flooding last year and quite a few people got some very nice aerial shots of the magnitude of the situation which you just can’t see from the ground.
