What is Litter-Robot 3 Open Air DFI Hardware (v2)?

I am a three year user of Litter Robot 3 in Japan. I am considering replacing the DFI part because the blue LED is constantly blinking.

My question is what is the part called Litter-Robot 3 Open Air DFI Hardware (v2) [LR3CB-DFI-BULK-V2]?
Is this compatible with Litter Robot3 (without Connect)?
The picture of the part appears to have differences from the original hardware.

We are sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your Litter-Robot.

The DFI sensor v2 is a new version of the sensor, the main differences are that the sensor is fully enclosed inside the plastic brackets for better protection.

The new version is compatible with all the Litter-Robot 3 models.
