What if no computer?

Hi,

I would like to make this robot-arm for personal purpose at home & kind of confused for how to use it without a computer/laptop. In a nutshell, What is required to operate a Robot-Arm (per defined codes in software) without computer? Please advise.

In order to operate independently of a computer, most robot arms need a programmable microcontroller.

Yes I do have a laptop, but I want to run it independently after programming at four different settings. I’m making a robot arm to lift some stuff and want to install it on a wall with push buttons.

Please let me know the required parts apart from below list…

  1. Servo Motors
  2. Controller
  3. Frame (Hardware)
  4. Power

Note: I’m planning to buy “Lynxmotion AL5A” first & learn the basics, once done will move it to the next level for the desired project.
