Hi I just got the:
Servo Tire and Wheel - 2.63" x 0.35" (pair)
Model Number SRVT-01 ]
for Hitec Servos but when I tryed to mount them on a HSR-5995TG Robot servo the splines won’t fit ??

The 5995 is not a continious roatation servo so the tire and wheel will only rotate 90 deg. in either direction.
As for the splines not matching up, I think you need a hub that mounts to servo horn that will allow the shaft to mount in it.
The specs for the HSR-5995 indicates that it can be modified to continious turn. I have not tryed it yet as I can’t get the wheel on. Are you saying that I need to get a horn that fits the servo and mount the wheel to it ??
Modified… the servo can be continous, I was thinking that you were thinking that it was continious out of the box. I will look in to the wheel mounting issue.
I could be wrong but I think you need this: lynxmotion.com/Product.aspx? … egoryID=42
to mount the wheel to your servo. Perehaps you can ask Jim because I’m not real sure.
The two splines are exactly the same. However the wheel was designed for a nylon servo spline (final gear), not metal ones. It’s a tight fit even for the nylon final gear. My bet is you just need to push harder till it pops on. It may help to make a grimacing face, and even let out a little yell.
U R RIGHT !! Tight fit but it fit. Now to mod the Servo !! Thank You
Good luck trying to cut into that titanium with a hacksaw.
Not much can resist the 30000 rpm of a diamond coated Dremel cutoff
yeah high pms and hard disky thingys! I t makes me fell all warm and fuzzy inside.
