I currently use an 12v 10 ah SLA to run a 30lb robot. It is too heavy and slows down quickly, crawling after less than an hour. LiFePo scare me. I read lithium ions are better for low draw - not motors. I don’t know what to buy.
Depending on your budget and space available there are safe proven LiFePo.
With LiFePo one needs battery protection circuits so to disconnect if exceeding the current limits for discharge. That is the risk with these batteries.
First get an idea what amount of power you need then search for off the self products and chargers. For instance a friend of mine purchased several all battery powered lawn equipment. The larger cell is 56V at 10 Amp Hour. That is 4 times your battery power. You would then need a DC-DC converter and battery protection circuit. He bought the equipment at Home Depot. Not cheap however!
