The reason I ask is that I want to get a feel for what kind of motors are popular and easily accessible. I see similar questions asked elsewhere, but the answer is always to decide on your requirements first, then pick a motor that suits those needs. The problem I have with that answer is that the motor is usually harder to adjust to the exact specs you need unless you’re okay with overshooting and paying a lot more for them. On the other hand, you can always modify your robot design to some extent to fit the capabilities of what motors you have.
So with that said, do you have a set of motors that you like to work with for the majority of your projects? If so, which ones, and what do you like about them?
