Weight for aluminum tubing and channel

Hi quick question

What are the actual weight for them, Not shipping weight.

Aluminum Tubing - 6.0" (do you have any longer)
Alum Channel - 6
Alum Channel - 16"

The aluminum tubing looks like it weight very light… but is it strong.?

thank in advance

The 6.0" tubing is 0.50 ounces (14g)
The 6.0" channel is 2.22 ounces (63g)
The 16.0" channel is 6.08 ounces (172g)

We don’t carry longer than 6.0" for now.

The tubing is surprisingly strong. I could not bend it on the edge of a table with my bare hands. The wall thickness is 0.040".

The 6.0" tubing is 0.50 ounces (14g)

I need the length to be exactly 7.5"

is there anyway I can extend the tubing… like adaptor etc…
If yes, which adaptor should I buy…do you have a picture of it.

Other wise I have to use Alum Channel, but it is a bit more heavy…
4x heavier… which I don:t like.

Thank in advance

There is a way, but you won’t get an exact 7.5" length out of the combination. You could put a pair of HUB-08 back to back and attach tubing to each end. As I said, this will not get you exactly 7.5" length though as it will be just a bit longer. The only other way I know of to get exactly 7.5" is to cut a custom length of tubing.

Animietown9,

If you have the patience you can roll your own:

This is the same tubing as offered by Lynx motion, but without the the know how and work done. Cutting the tubing straight is not hard, but drilling the holes and getting them right is where the patience comes in.
