Hello, I’m new to this, although I have a background in software engineering. As a hobby/side project, I’m intending to build a rover to assist my father with his road surveying work. Here are the criteria for the rover.
- A list of latitudes and longitudes will be provided on the SD card; go to those sites and measure the altitudes, then write to the SD card.
- 5cm accuracy works (lower is preferable).
- Range <10 km.
- Speed: 10–20 km/h
I have some questions for you.
- Do I need to utilize the flying controller? Is Cubepilot purple good enough?
- How does Here4 work? Do I need to connect the Here4 base to my own RTK equipment because it lacks something akin to Here3’s base antenna?
- What parts and chassis do you recommend?
