Waveshare RS485 to Ethernet Adapter Modbus Control

I am wondering if anyone has used the Waveshare RS485 to Ethernet Adapter to communicate with Modbus devices?

The adapter does not not mention Modbus but RS485 and Modbus are closely related. I am trying to see if this could be used to control a device that uses Modbus.

No, unfortunately this device doesn’t support Modbus protocol.
