Want to buy the Lynxmotion arm kit - what servos do I buy?

Hi. new to the forum. I am going to purchase the Lynxmotion AL5D hardware only kit, then add my servos and electronics. Is this the best route? Which servos should I purchase?

I want lots of torque, so was looking at the Hitec 645MG servo. Will those work with this arm? Can I have two servos at the base of the arm for more lifting power?

Thanks. So you are saying I need one of those three types, correct? You don’t appear to sell the 5745MG. Looks like the 755MG is the stronger of the two you do sell. I just need to buy 1 of those.

This is only the “best” route if you have the right servos; the brackets used in the AL5 arm are made for specific servos, when you mention “Can I have two servos at the base of the arm for more lifting power?”, it’s important to note that the bracket used at the base (in the shoulder) is intended for three specific servos; the 5745MG and 755HB and 755MG. You cannot use a 645MG or any other servo from any other manufacturer. However, you can use the 645MG in the wrist, base rotate and gripper.

Correct. The 5745MG is custom to Lynxmotion, so the 755MG is the next best choice.
