Hello,
The wall plug that is a part of the AL5D is making a audible buzzing sound when plugged in. Should I be concerned about this? Could this be a fire hazzard?

This is not normal. Can you tell us what country you are using it in?
Also, it’s important to see the electrical connection to the board - can you provide a top-down photo here?
Please make sure you are inputting 100-240V ~ 50 / 60Hz 0.36A
I am in the US., normal wall socket. The wall adapter is only plugged into the wall, not yet plugged into the AL5D board.
I have numerous other power adapters. None makes buzzing sound like this. It sounds like a ballast on a florescent light.
Hello it is possible you are experiencing coil whine. It is actually harmless. This happens because AC adapters are switch-moded power supplies. The internal switching frequency is usually low when unloaded but it seems like in your case it is reaching an audible frequency.
It is also possible inductor coils are vibrating. In general, these audible hums can be harmless but it is best to double check.
Can you contact us via the RobotShop Support center and provide your order or invoice number?
There may be a slight hum if you put your head close to the transformer, but nothing as significant as you describe.
