Greetings to all, thank you for reading this post of a total beginner to these things. I have spent quite some time trying to work out this problem unsuccessfully, I’m sure somebody with experience will know exactly what the problem is…
I have a Vyper 120A motor controller (24vdc motor being controlled) in POT mode everything works as expected. I want to change to RC control mode as it will be more versatile for my requirements. I’ve tried many times to calibrate in RC mode, but when applying either forwards or reverse the motor just judders at a very minimal speed although it is turning in the direction asked for. With the transmitter in neutral position, I get a solid green light on the viper indicating everything is okay but once you go forwards or reverse the red error light illuminates. Is this an issue with the signal the Vyper is receiving or something else? TIA - Ross

Hi @RH ,
I’ve seen this user guide for Vyper motor driver, but there is not much info there:
Maybe you could try using a different remote controller just for test and see what happens?
In the end, I would suggest that you contact manufacturer directly and see if they can troubleshoot the problem:

Thanks for taking the time to reply, I do have that guide - like you said it doesn’t contain much detail.
I’m going to try using a DAC board with Arduino now to use the 0-5v analog signal rather than PWM.
It’s just one of those things where if I’m doing something wrong I’d like to know what, why and how to overcome it!
