What is the voltage output from one of the 32 servo ports on the SSC-32? Is it 5.4v? Want to connect two 3mm leds in series to a port to have them light it … Will be putting the resistor in series to drop v down … but was not 100% sure on the voltage output from the servo port … Thanks!
Should be ~5v (best to measure with a multimeter if voltages are critical). You need to check the specs on the ssc-32 to see if the pin will supply the current you need.
More specifically you need to look up the specs for the 74HC595 chips that are used as the servo signal pulse outputs. There will likely be a maximum total current that the chip can provide. So if you plan to have a large number of LED’s on at the same time it may not be possible.
I just want to run 2 LEDs in series … nothing fancy
