What is the maximum voltage an AL5D can take in?
I want to attach a large 14.4v battery to it, but I’m too scared to try by myself, I just know that a 9v battery works.

I hope that was just a small “transistor radio” battery. If not and your AL5D still works, you are lucky.
At 14.4V it would take a fraction of a second for all the electronics and servos to fry.
At 9V it may take a second or two for the servos to fry.
R/C Servos included with AL5: 4.8V to 6V (in practice they can go up to about 6.8V)
Electronics: 9V is best, but it can handle 6V to 9.6V.
