I need help with a project for my fiancé. I’m trying to put together a Harry Potter gift for her and i have an idea to make a voice activated wand. I want to connect an LED light to the tip and have a voice activated switch that turns the light on and of by saying “Lumos” and “Nox”. Will the Grove speech recognition module do what I’m asking or is there another product that i would need?

You would also need a microcontroller, an LED, and a power source (I’m guessing you want it to be portable, so probably a battery holder too).
However, I don’t think the Grove speech recognition module is the best-suited product for your project as it can only recognize 22 pre-defined commands.
A better option would be this module:
