Am I supposed to have CSV sequence files for the humanoid example in Visual Sequencer? (And also the Brat, hexapod, etc)
I don’t have any, only my own that I created, located in Users-AppData-Local-VirtualStore…etc
I asked the question before of where MINE was (and you answered) but now I wonder where the samples are?
Hi,
The sequences and their setup are store in database files (DBase) in the software’s folder in %programfiles(x86)%\Sequencer_SSC-32. Those files are:
]ViewSeq.dbf/:m]
]ViewSeq.mdx/:m]
]MovesSeq.dbf/:m]
]MovesSeq.mdx/:m]
You can open these files with many software, including LibreOffice and various database management products.
As with the exports, once the software tries to modify those files, they will end up here: %localappdata%\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Sequencer_SSC-32.
If you wish to have CSV files you would have to export them from the software as you did with your own sequences.
Sincerely,
I don’t understand…I bought the Visual Sequencer product, want to look at the samples, but I have to invoke ANOTHER program? Why isn’t it built in? Why have the files included if the user can’t view them?
I’ve worked with DBF files before and likely won’t have problem opening them, but I wonder why I have to go through this hassle?
There is no need to use an external software. It is only useful if you want direct access to the files (as they are all stored in the database by the software). Any sequences’ content can be viewed in the software directly.
The samples given with the software are projects with only 1 sequence each (1 step in the sequence), which are effectively empty sequences. Those examples are given to show you how to setup the servo motors for various Lynxmotion robots.
You can have a look around the SEQ section of the forum and see if anyone posted interesting examples for you to try out.
Sincerely,
Okay, I got it. I was expecting more than one sequence or at least more than one step.
I’m ready to make my guy walk and was hoping someone had done something already to save me some computer time. I hate re-inventing the wheel.
The manual doesn’t say it, but in the description of the Advanced Play module, you show a screen with buttons that are very PS2-controller like. Does this mean that a PS2 controller is automatically mapped to those keys on the screen? (or do I have to map them to the sequence and step from left side of screen?)
The “Pose” buttons on the right…how are they used? There is no explanation for them. Is, for example, “Pose 1” whatever the sequence and step is in the left Project box?
Can an action be assigned to a PS2 control key (on the screen) AND to a Pose? (IE, Pose 1 and L1 have the same operation?).
Can I use a PS2 controller, with the USB dongle communicating back to the BotBoarduino? I was using it this way with Flowbotics Brat, but not the sequencer.
You talk about wifi (socket client) and the need for “some hardware” on the robot side. What hardware? I’m only looking at this because it sounds like a good way to break the hardwire connection between computer and SSC32u board. A diagram would be nice showing the hookup. Maybe the Botboarduino and transmitter dongle do this for me?
And finally, let me ask this question (which I may have answered myself above…): The Botboarduino, connected to the SSC32U and hardwired to the PS2 dongle will communicate with the PS2 controller so that: I can activate the sequences I have programmed in the Advanced Play section of the sequencer using equivalent buttons? (PS2 controller buttons will active the sequences if I programmed them on the Advanced Play config table?
Hi,
We will verify all your questions and get back to you soon.
Sincerely,
