Apparently any videos that are currently being uploaded that are more than a 10 seconds or so are automatically compressed when played back. The fix requires you to add &fmt=6 to the end of the URL to play in normal format. Without it it will show in a lower resolution. There is no “play video in high (normal) resolution” link like there used to be. I dunno nuthin else about it.

I bet all the leaf and grass combined with moving camera made the compressed version look bad.
