Really simple question:
what size shaft are the vex shaft collars good for? I have a motor with a 5mm shaft and i need shaft collars and these look promising.
They are meant to be used with VEX square shafts which are 1/4" square.
I recently ordered 2 packages of shaft collars. Prior to purchase, i asked one to the customer service representatives what the bore size of the shaft collars were, also, i posted my question here (see above). Both repliesstated that the bore size was 1/4". I received my collars today, but the bore size is not 1/4". Thinking that perhaps i was confused about outer diameter versus bore size, i noticed that the outer diameter is not 1/4" either.
Was i completely clueless as to what “bore size” meant in regards to this product? I’ve purchased other products elsewhere where the bore size was the diameter of the hole in the middle that had been drilled out?
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
