I’m wonder what the above encoder specs are? Wiring, signal voltages, ticks per revolution, etc… I cannot seem to find anything useful on this product.

Hi @DanaK1960 and welcome to the forum!
Please go to the manufacturers web page: https://www.vexrobotics.com/276-2156.html
There, in the lower part of the page, you can find details about Inputs, Outputs, CAD files, etc.
I hope this will help you!
Thanks, it looks to be non directional or am I mistaken. It is not a quadrature encoder, correct?
Hello @DanaK1960!
According to the manufacturers description it is a Quadrature Encoder with two output channels that will allow you to measure both the position and direction of rotation of a VEX shaft.
Thanks, I’m looking at these types of devices. I was trying to find the pulses per revolution. I found it does 1700 pulses in 18.9 revolutions, basically 90 pulses per rev. Too low for my application.
I seek 360 or greater pulses per revolution and speed is not a factor. My robot is fairly slow. Something like the one below. I’ll design it into the tracking device. The tracking device has an axel. 400 pulses per rev or greater is edeal.

May I suggest quadrature encoders with 400 and above ticks be added to your inventory.
I’m making a tracking device and will be using the below part from another vendor for this purpose. It is 1000 CPR. Given my robot is slow moving the ticks update rate will not be a concern.
Hello again,
In case you are interested, I was able to find the Lynxmotion Quadrature Motor Encoder here:
