Do you have any parts yet or are you starting from scratch?
For simple rotational motion, you can use any of the following:
Stepper motor: robotshop.com/en/stepper-motors.html
DC Gear Motor: robotshop.com/en/gear-motors.html
Continuous rotation RC servo motor: robotshop.com/en/servo-motors.html
There are many, many ways to go about this, so the choice of technology is really up to you.
If you are entirely new to robotics / programming, you should consider continuous rotation RC.

I have a design and it includes those items you included. The basic skeleton will be the 3" and 9" channel. The bearings are perfect and I was going to use the 4" shafts for each of the four legs.
My problem is in powering the unit, your motor bracket will work fine and the motor is perfect.
My question is in the electronics, I would like it to be much simpler and more hands on, the servo controller is for 32 units, is ther so thing bore basic? What I would like is to just turn it on and be able to control the speed, that’s all. In actuality, the motor will be running at lower speeds.

Sorry for the delay. Something like this would work as well:

Since all of the motors operate the same way, you would need three Y-harnesses (or split one cable into four):

Ensure the power / battery can plug into the 3x 0.1" spaced connector on the controller.
