Using threaded rod and ecdode at Hitec servos?

I have some qustions

  1. The Servo Motor Rotary Driver, Product code : RB-Sct-65 (robotshop.com/ca/servocity-servo-rotary-driver.html) can be used at
a Hitec servo HS-855BB and all other Hitec servos ?
    b. 1/4 threaded rod, 3/8 threaded rod and 1/2 threaded rod ?
  2. Any wheels can directly connect to a Hitec servos like HS-755HB that I can change to a continued rotation servo. (One of productions using “directly connecting” is: Product code : RB-Plx-81 )
  3. If yes, what encodes can be easly used at this case ?
  4. If I wnat to directly connect HS-755HB to a BaneBots Wheel ( robotshop.com/ca/ban-96-green-wheel.html), how can I do ?

RB-Sct-65 should be compatible with these threaded rods: RB-Lyn-145. Also, in order to connect a wheel to a servo, you can use a servo shaft coupler.

They can be used with standard sized Hitec servos. There are a few adapters included with the product, but not all servos have been tested.

4-40 is the compatible thread type

Unfortunately not - the servo mounted wheels we offer can connect to standard Hitec splines (RB-Lyn-27 and RB-Sbo-86 to 89) and Futaba (RB-Plx-183)

We do not carry any encoders which are intended to be used with servo motors. If you want to add an encoder to a continuous rotation servo motor, you will need to devise the mounting (based on your choice of encoders)

In order to connect a Banebots wheel to a servo (standard continuous rotation) you would need to use the 0.75" hex hub (RB-Ban-181) which has a 3/8" inside diameter bore. You would also select RB-Sct-61 (servo to 3/8" shaft). The wheel would be RB-Ban-105 (or choose another colour). We do not sell 3/8" shafts, so you would need to find a short 3/8" shaft (hollow or solid). Note that because the hub is long, the shaft may flex, and we suggest supporting it on the other end, or minimizing the weight of the robot.
