Using Battery pack from other manufacturer

Hello everybody,

I was wondering if I could exchange the battery pack from “Lithium-Ion 3.7 V 1300 mAh LB-040 Battery for DARwin-Mini” for the “4400 mAH 3.7V Li-Ion Battery (RB-Ten-20)”. Considering that the later one has protection circuitry and a greater mAH, is it safe to use it instead of the stock one? Especially with the stock charger?

Sorry for the newbie question…

Hi,

It should be safe to replace a 3.7V Li-Ion battery for another 3.7V Li-Ion battery. Just be careful that you do not invert polarity. Also, double-check the sizes of the battery. Because it is for a humanoid robot, it may affect the robot’s balance if the weight and size is too different.

Best regards,

Thanks!
