i have an SSC-32U servo controller and i want to use linear servos to raise and lower an arm and forearm of a skeleton. the linear actuator i’m interested in is the Actudnix L16 100mm 6v RC control. will this work or is there a better way?

If you are using the RC version of any Actuonix’ linear servos then it will be fine with an SSC-32U.
I recommend you get a proper power supply like this one.
The only thing I could think of that would be better would be to use the same linear actuator you want from Actuonix, but use a version with position feedback if that could improve your setup.
But if all of the joints you are moving are independent of each other (say, unlike if you had 2 or more raising a platform/desk/etc.), then position feedback doesn’t matter in this case and basic RC control is enough (i.e.: open loop).
