Useful Robotics Forums

 Hi,

apart from this excellent site ...

Which forums do you recommend for hobbyists interested in obtaining information about technical aspects of creating DIY robots of varying complexity ?

I've dones some searches, and , while there are several forums, many don't seem to include medium to expert level content.

There seems to be many for kids, and there's many university sites , but the latter are restricted to student members of the universtity.

Do you know of forums that include Q+A type discussion at a medium level ?

Advanced Q&A

Normally more advanced discussion centers around specific products, programming languages and/or software. For example if you are working on SLAM using specific hardware, you might take a look at that company’s forum / community, especially since the manufacturer should be replying as well. When it comes to general (advanced) Q&A it’s often hard to get answers without having done a very similar setup. One approach would be to scour the interwebs and find similar projects and attempt to contact the creator(s). Let’s Make Robots has some fairly advanced robots and many members of the community have engineering / technical backgrounds.

re: forums

If you find any, let us know.  It always good to have more options and fellow roboteers.
