Use of Flexiforce Adapter Board

Hi,
I’m interested in Flexiforce sensors, and robotshop has a flexiforce adapter : RB-Phi-88

Thing is, the datasheet is quite…inexistent, so I don’t really understand what that board does. The data is about the Flexiforce sensors, not the board

Does it amplify the signal ?
Is it to be used between a Flexiforce Sensor (it’s a force sensor) and a CAN ? Or is it more of a development board / prototyping board ?

My project needs many force Sensor (in a medical field, thats the why of flexiforce). I did buy several SingleTact Sensor and their board but they are too long for my application, plus I’m being told that too many I2C devices doesn’t work properly, even if theorically we can get to 127 devices.

Thats why I’m considering Flexiforce + a eight channel I2C DAC (or 2).

Would that phidget board be useful for my project ?

Thanks for your time and your help

Hey @Artanis

The 1120 FlexiForce Adapter makes it easy to interface a Tekscan FlexiForce force sensor.

You can use the adapter, plug it into a Phidgets Sensor Interface Kit 8/8/8 and use your PC for your data.
