Hi all,

I have started a new Rover Project to go with my Superdroids chassis that is in the “computer remote control” thread in the Remote Control Forum lynxmotion.net/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=35682#35682.

The Assault Rover is constructed from a Hammond 8"X16"X2" aluminum chassis (No more Superdroid chassis!) in which I have installed 6 GMH-14 12vdc motors on 6 MMT-03 ES Aluminum Motor Mounts. The wheels and tires are Traxxas Stampede Tera (TRC-01).


I will control the Assault Rover with a Hitec 8 channel RC system. The motors will be controlled by a Sabertooth 2X10 that is well heat sinked.

I plan to have a wireless 12vdc color camera (420 line resolution) on a pan platform on the front of the Rover and a mini automatic Airsoft Gun in the back.

Power will come from a custom made 3500ma NMHi 12vdc battery for the motors and an additional custom made 3500ma NMHi 12vdc battery for the RC receiver and the on-board ABB.

To be continued once I get all of our household moved from Los Angeles to Melissa, TX by the end of June.

Seriously though, I think you’ll find that a 6WD chassis is really fun to work with. And it looks alot better quality than the other chassis you had.
