Battery tech is too heavy, expensive and doesn’t last long enough yet, lipo’s tend to diminish & have to be replaced too often
@Angus You are correct that the battery is still the limiting factor in robotics, but the tech is gradually improving. For example we recently added a pack comprised of 18650 cells which is ~1/2 the weight of a normal LiPo pack for the same capacity: https://www.robotshop.com/en/111v-3500mah-3s1c-10c-li-ion-battery.html
From reading your comments on line, it is most evident that you are one with the knowledge to help me out with a question. For a wind turbine, I need a motor or a series of motors ( I can use several wind turbines with smaller motors, however the total output should be the same) interconnected that will give me an output of 408V, Dc current of 3000 amps.
Any thoughts?
@Carlos That’s an actual large-scale wind turbine. Most only use one central turbine / generator (as opposed to a motor). The specs you need are nowhere close to what we offer, and although we have the expertise to explore the calculations needed, it is beyond the support we can provide.
