Upgrade RobotShop rover v 1.0 battery to rechargeable

Any suggestions on a cost effective way to get longer lasting life and rechargeable power off the batteries for this system?

Thanks!

Ok thanks, I will order a couple of those from you guys soon.

Cheers.

That battery is massive and will likely weigh down the rover too much. The DFRobotShop Rover is a lightweight platform, so if you really want to upgrade, we’d suggest the following LiPo battery: RB-Spa-453. This is 6Ah and will last quite a while. It can still be charged with the onboard LiPo charger, but it will take a while. The higher the battery’s capacity, the longer it will take to charge.

Could I use the following battery pack to replace the 4AA system?

And this as charger:

Or would it be better to go for a 12 volt and get a 5 or 6 volt regulator?

Also, could I use this to power my Robotshop v1.0 pololu motors:

Thanks!
