I think most of you have already seen it since it was on about every robot blog i’m following. The jamming robot gripper
The gripper is able to pick up (almost) every shape of products you can think of. The idea is pretty easy. Fill a fexible ball with some kind of sand and extend or compress the space to make the ball solid. Today I runned in to a video on Make Magazine showing a DIY copy of this gripper. Check out the video
Maybe this is something to experiment with and combine with the new vacuum pomp. And one of the LM Arms
