UBEC, BEC, Whatever

I’ve got Hs-485HB servos, 18 to be precise, on an ah3-r style body. I have nooooo idea what kind of regulator I need- and I really would like not to spend a ton of money on something I don’t need. Or is excessive. I figure I will draw… what, 6-8 amps? so a 8-10amp regulator, output of 6v volts would be nice. Any suggestions for a really nervous novice with a budget that is growing noticeably smaller by the day?
Thanks,
Xeno

Oh, and uh, here is what I’ve been looking at. Am I heading in the right direction?

The regulator you referenced says it is a linear regulator, which may lose a lot of energy as heat. I think UBEC regulators like below are more efficient and less expensive.

Hi.
I used for my MeanGreen this type of Ubec: ebay.com/itm/HOBBYWING-UBEC-8A-15A-Step-Down-Voltage-Regulator-/150666597682?pt=Radio_Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item23146dd532

MeanGreen is powerd by 2x 7,4V 4000mAH Lipos to keep the 12x HS-5645mg, 6x HS-645mg, 4x TowerPro MG90, the BIG BIG Laserweapon and the other electronics always on the run. The Ubec works very good and dont goes hot or something. My hex needs 10A to stand up!!! No problem for the Ubec. I think this Ubec is a good and save part.

Hope could help…
