Two joysticks, how to assign buttons

G’day
I have just purchased a new 32 servo controller and the rios software, can someone please help me with assigning buttons of two usb joysticks, some buttons move the servos when using the rios software but are not setup the way I want them to be. are you able to use the Sequencer software to use the servos in a live mode, I don’t have a need for programed movements.

Hi juzzac,

unfortunately you can’t configure buttons assign in the current RIOS version, as it was previously intended to be used with a PS2 controller (with an USB adaptor), this option was not included.

But it’s a good idea to add a buttons assign feature, it will be included in the next RIOS version :wink:

for now, i’m not working on RIOS new version but on H3/H3-R programs, then it will be SEQ turn…
so as the next RIOS update is not so soon and as i can change easily buttons assign in RIOS code, just tell me what “current” buttons to assign to, and i will build a version with new buttons assign for you…

so, tell me for example :

  • Old L1 (Close Grip) to New : “Rotate wrist left” function
    etc…
    (press your joysticks’ buttons to show the current corresponding functions in RIOS and choose in the list the new function to assign)

then send to me your email address to [email protected], i will send to you the new RIOS exe.
