Turbo Controller Servo

Greetings smart people!

I’m new to servo controlled things and would appreciate some guidance in selecting a servo. I designed a turbocharged CVT snowbike and would like to add a servo actuated turbo waste gate controller.

Here’s a little video clip of the bike: BRC500CVT Turbo Snowbike - First Fire up with Turbo - YouTube

My list of requirements for the servo is as follows:

  1. has a feedback position wire
  2. metal gear
  3. rated to -40°C
  4. 20kg of force (not sure how much I really require at this time)
  5. waterproof
  6. 90° (or more) or rotation

This might be a tall list to fulfill, but any advice would be appreciated.

Hello @BRC and welcome to the RobotShop forum,

That looks amazing!

Here are some nice options:

These are all waterproof (some with a higher IP rating than others), have metals gears and 90°+ of rotation.
However, any of these have external position feedback, and the rated temperature isn’t specified so if you are interested in any of these I’d suggest asking the manufacturer directly.
