Trying to make a drawer that opens up near my tv for the remotes

im trying to make a drawer that i can open with a smart phone app, maybe blue tooth.
It will be a way og me hiding the remotes from the kids…
what components do you recommend?
i need it to lock itself, i will install a hinge with a spring to create tension.
just need a type of electrically controlled hasp.
it needs hold drawer secure when its locked…

You can design something similar to the electric door lock and use it for the drawer.

You’d need an electric lock, Arduino, Bluetooth module, power source, etc…

    5.18650 Battery: The batteries aren’t available but you can find them in your local hardware store or online.

  6. Jumper Cable as needed.

thank you for your help.
i ordered everything and received it. the solenoid came in, without a latch.
the one you used would be perfect. may i ask where you got it and how it interface with the tiny solenoid… also can i use an ios system to program or does it have to be android.

The video was just an example to give you an idea on how to do this project… it’s not done by us so we are unable to provide you with the links to the latch he has used in the video.

As for using the app on IOS system, this is not doable either since this specific app is made for Andriod only.

However, you can find a lot of IOS apps online or you can create your own app on a website like that:
