Trouble Recognizing SSC-32

Hi i am having a problem with the RIOS software recognizing the SSC-32 card. I had it working just fine but i went back to work on programming it some more and it said it could not recognize it. This is my first time using a robot and i have no idea what the problem could be. If anyone can help me please let me know.

Lets start with power… Does the green LED light up on the SSC-32? Are you using a 9vdc battery for VL, or are you using only the 6vdc wall pack to power everything?

Yes the green led is lit and I am using the 6vdc wall pack to power everything.

In the setup screen. Do you have the following settings?

Port: COMx (x=your com port)
Baud rate: 115200
Data bits: 8
Stop bits: 1
Parity: none
Flow control: none

Then make sure the SSC-32’s two baud rate jumpers are installed.

Also are you able to communicate with the SSC-32 from LynxTerm? This is a much simpler application that has a low bandwidth.

Yes my setup screen is set to all those settings, and Lynxterm won’t communicate with the SSC-32 card either.

But are you sure you have the Port set to the correct one?

Make sure the DB9 enable jumpers are oriented the same way as the baud rate jumpers.

Have you restarted the PC?

Have you tried the SSC-32 on a different PC?

Have you installed any other software since it worked last?

Are you using a serial cable or a USB cable?

Can you post an image of the PC board?

The DB9 jumpers were not oriented the same way as the baud jumpers. I don’t remember changing them but i must have at one point.
Thanks a lot for your help I really appreciate it.
