Simplicity
You have a valid point, but since this is my first robot i designed, im going to start out with probably very little hardware. I like to try and make robots that work well and intelligently with as few sensors and such as possible. My plans are to go with a sharp IR wmounted on a servo, and use the data from that to build a map of the area in my robot’s brain , and then use the wave front algorithm to navigate. Light on sensors, heavy on code.
