Drive system

Can you show the drive system? It looks like you might be using tracks. Almost looks like the sand crawler in Star Wars.

Level over 9000

Whoaaa, awesomeness level over 9000!

Is there a video?

Completely Awesome!!!

I am so jealous!!! I might have to make my own.

Video and project update

I am planning on making a video, when the project is finished, it is going to be uploaded to this YouTube channel: Electrical and mechanical engineering projects. This project will also be updated with a video and more information about custom electronics.

I’m gonna join you on the

I’m gonna join you on the fanclub @nschreiber0813 !

Great!

I also made made a very similar robot with tracks as you did. If you need any information you can contatct me directly, since we are from the same country

Cost

I love it.

How much do you think it would cost to reproduce?

How much would it cost to purchase your plans/vendor list/advice while building?

Once again, I love it.

Regards,

Martin

Tutorial

The total cost of the build was 1000 EUR + battery (500 EUR, 210 pcs of 18650 cells).

Seems like I need to make a tutorial about it.

I will publish all the files I have and write a tutorial in the next couple of weeks/months (hope I find the time).

Geat design

I like the design very much.It is very simple, yet it looks like something out of a Science-Fiction movie.

LOL

LOL

That’s simply amazing! What

That’s simply amazing! What are you planning to haul with the 160kg payload?

Payload capacity

This robot will be used mostly as snow plow and development platform for software. The main goal for this project was to make a robotic platform as versatile as possible. So one of the requirements was big payload capacity. A possible application requiring big payload capacity would be transporting camper trailer on a campsite with great accuracy and visibility (like in this video: LINK) and also remote controlled wheelbarrow.

Off topic

Something in a photo caught my eye here: https://www.robotshop.com/letsmakerobots/files/userpics/u27474/TrackRobot_18.jpg

It looks like a three wheeled car but I can’t determine make / model or details to confirm? Care to elaborate?

Great bot. Have you got make

Great bot. Have you got make and part number of the snow blower you got the tracks from? I would love to get a set of those

City-EL

Yes, you are correct, this red “thing” in the back is a 3 wheeled electric car. This is one of my previous projects. I bought a chassis from an old car (97) and then I restored everything and put an electric motor in it (15kw peak). The chassis is from car called City-EL.

Tracks

I bought those used (looked like new) form a local service shop for snow blowers. I don’t have the exact part number or anything else. I think most of the tracks are the same. If you would like, I can take some measurements of my tracks so you can buy the same size and type.

This project keeps on delighting me

Congrats on the snowplow addon !

Unbelievable!!!

Keep making!!! I am enjoying your projects lol.

**Tracks **

Wow awesome build,  I love this !

know the feeling when it takes ages to get your project off the ground. I have 2 kids, ones a newborn s waiting now r free time to carry on with my build.

Quick question, were did your purchase your tracks from ???
