Tissue Robotic Arm

Dear all,

I wanted to ask what robot I should purchase if I want to simulate a person pulling tissues out of a box. I am a beginner programmer and know that the robots vertical travel needs to be 400mm at least. Please suggest and suggestions!

Thank you!

@Eian Welcome to the RobotShop Community. RobotShop has two categories for robot arms: hobbyist vs. professional:
https://www.robotshop.com/en/robotic-arms.html
https://www.robotshop.com/en/advanced-robotic-manipulators.html

Factors for consideration include:

  • Your budget
  • How much you need it to lift (in this case, pulling force required for one tissue)
  • Reach (40cm in your case, but is that vertically?)
  • Programmability
  • Kit / non kit
  • Gripper options
  • How long you need it to operate

Since you posted this in the Lynxmotion arm category of the forum, the following is availabe as a kit or assembled and doesn’t need programming if you’re using LSS FlowArm software:

Any additional details you can provide?

Hi,

I believe the pulling force required would be 200g, the 40cm reach is vertical, it needs to be programmable, and it needs to operate through 100+ iterations.

I have looked at Trossen robot arms but those do not deliver to the UK I don’t think.

Thanks,

Shubham
