Fourier Intelligence’s GR-1 humanoid robot uses a vision-only system that’s similar to Tesla’s Autopilot to navigate and understand its surroundings. The switch to a vision-only system that doesn’t use lidar or infrared sensors could make the robot a lot cheaper.
