The spring at the back of the robot doesn't hold the divider

At the back of the robot there is a black detail with a spring in it that is supposed to hold the divider inside the sphere in place when the sphere is rotating.

However for whatever reason it doesn’t seem to be strong enough now to hold it in place, and the divider gets stuck at the bottom so it blocks the waste bin opening. The black detail seems slightly deformed (I assume because of the constant spring pressure), so maybe that’s the issue.

I tried removing the divider completely along with the black detail at the back, but this makes the sphere kinda lose, so the motor gears don’t clutch with the sphere properly, and the sphere jumps a little and it skips gears, and at some point it gets stuck.

Right now robot flashes all 3 lights one after the other and refuses to work. I turned it off so it doesn’t get stuck in the middle of the cycle making it inaccessible for my cat
