The best I can say is that the level of my ignorance is at least matched by my enthusiasm, as I have a shopping cart full of stuff and have no idea how it all hooks together, how to build anything with it, or, in a couple of cases, what it even is, but the name sure sounded cool.
Can someone point me to a tutorial on what is compatible with what? For example, do .25" set-screw couplers mate with a HiTec servo shaft and a .25" solid rod? For what purposes are all the various combinations & permutations of the aluminum tubing I see? And, perchance, are there any tubing-to-tubing or shaft-to-tubing combos that will telescope within each other?
Those are only examples of dozens of questions I have, and I’m sure it’d be much more efficient if I can get a link to some sort of tutorial instead of list them all here. Then, I can return and list any unanswered ones…
For the most part, the stuff in my cart is from the Lynxmotion product line, but another question that can be answered expeditiously is, “Is most of this stuff from all these various vendors pretty much compatible?”. It appears that HiTec is pretty much the big boy in servos, and everything mates to it, unless specifically stated otherwise, right?
