The next Newbie

Hi,
i wanted to introduce myself, my Name is Stefan and i am from Germany.
As i saw Zentas A-Pot on Youtube i was addicted at once and now i would like to make a copy by myself. Hardware might not be a problem, neither constructing (i have a CNC-Mill) nor building, but i hope to get some information in programming the thing.
I built RC-controlled Model Submarines (a few are to be seen at www.rc-sub.de) for nearly 20 years and some Tri/Quadro/Hexacopter as well, so i think i have some basics for building a bot.

Last night i ordered the Atom Bot Board with Atom Module and the SSC-32 with Sequencer Software. Due to my deepest dislike for HITEC Servos i want to give the Graupner DES707 a try.

Regards
Stefan

hi Stefan, and welcome. my name is Jonny. UK.
First here is a thread that might help you, and maybe of interest.

i have never heard of the Graupner DES707 servos but after looking they look very nice. (6.0V:212.4 oz-in (15.29 kg-cm).
The SSC may not have been tested with these servos but its worth a shot.

good luck. look forward to seeing it.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

The link ist very interesting, although most of the pics are very out of focus and the drawing paper with the squares on it makes it hard to copy .

The Servos look nice, indeed. I will purchase two of them first to make tests. Buying 25 to see that they are useless might be a pretty expensive task

yes the pictures are not very clear but from what you say, you shouldn’t have much trouble building it. Slightly envious of your CNC. :stuck_out_tongue:

all the best. J
