The motors in the VTail 500 do not work

After calibrating the sensors and the ESCs, through the Firmware Configuration Tool (FTC), the motors do not start. The flight controller is the Quadrino nano and the Radiolink transmitter. We followed step-by-step the procedure in the Quadrino’s User Guide. We managed to calibrate the sensors and the ESCs seemed to be calibrtaed, at least, they responded as described in the user’s guide. The trasmitter works as well in the FTC.

However, after completing all these steps - calibration of the sensors and the ESCs - we tried to start the motors. They do not work. Could you please help with some suggstion as to how we should start the motors, after having gone throught the calibration

First thing to verify is the state of the motors in the WinGUI when you arm the copter and raise the throttle.
When the copter is not “armed” the value sent to the ESC’s is “Min Command” as shown in the “FC Config” page of WinGUI.

This is the value that will allows the ESC’s themselves to arm. They will not respond to any commands until they see a good low signal.
That’s why this value can be changed in the FCT.

Note that the default value in FCT is “Motor Step” checked which do not spin the motor at arming state. You have to raise the throttle.
