Hi, i was wondering if it was possible to increases the range on the IR line sensor. to around 5cm instead of maximum 2cm, its for a project i’m doing. =)
You may be able to alter this by driving the LED harder. However you would need to be able to replace a surface mount resistor, not easy… I do not know if it will work though. I haven’t done it.
What would be the maximum resistance i can change it thou?
Google led resistor calculator. I would remove the resistor solder in a pot temporarily and connect a current meter in series. Then adjust to increase the emitted light, but don’t exceed 25mA. Like I said I don’t know if it will work…
