It occured to me that it could be usefull to be able to use 3/16" aluminum rod as legs or end effectors, so I tried it and it works well. A set screw can also be used in place of the SHCS.

That sort of thing would work great for making tiny legs (although it’d work fine for normal-sized ones, too, it seems).
Imagine being able to make a compact centipede with microservos…
The weight-saving is ideal, too.
Heh, that’s a 0DOF leg.
Now we can make a hexapod with only six servos!
