Testing Bot Board and BAP28

Hi all,

Today I recieved a USB to serial converter so I started by going through the BASIC Atom Pro Programming Tutorial. I downloaded the Basic Micro Studio, downloaded the sample BASIC Atom Pro and I was able to run the programme on the BAP28 no problem. The programme ran perfect, three ascending beeps and a pause for one second.

When I got to step 8 I was unable to see the results of the programme. Why is this? My Com port is 43

Step 8.
Click on the “Terminal 1” tab at the bottom of the Output window, at the bottom of the screen. Make sure your settings are as shown in the figure below.
Click the “Connect” button, and the results of the program (from the “serout” command) will display as shown.

In the terminal window, did it not have Com 43 as one of its options? Also you did not update the baud rate shown in the drop down to match the program…

Thanks for the speedy reply. Ya that worked Com43 and I didn’t realise I had to have the baud rate the same as that of the programme which is 9600. (First time using the software).

Another question: How do I stop the program from running?

Turn off the power :laughing:

Or if you don’t want to see the output anymore click on disconnect…
