Terra Ranger One not working

I have purcheased a TerraRanger One distance sensor to use on an autonomous boat for obstacle avoidance. The auto pilot is a Pixhawk and I have attached it with the Terra Ranger I2C converter as described on Pixhawks page:

The D-13 cable is plugged into an I2C hub on the Pixhawk and the wires I soldered onto the connector are connected to 12 volts DC. (Were they supposed to be 5 volts??!!)
I get no sonar reading in Mission Planner. How do I know if the sensor is working? Did I fry it?

Hi @Victorfas and welcome to our forum!

According to specification of the sensor, 10V DC is recommended (10 to 20V DC accepted).

Can you share some photos of your setup?

Thank you.
