Hoping someone can help quickly… I can’t live for too long without my Neato XV-11 vacuum! I had gotten a brush is stuck error when we realized that the tension spring on one of the two wheel assemblies fell off. We found a little piece of plastic that had broken off the chassis. We believe the wheel assembly only connects to the bottom chassis, and the top chassis is just the cover. However, before I spend $35, I’d like to try to confirm. Thanks!
Hello:
May I please ask you to post a picture of this repair work. That way it’ll give me a better idea on what type of screw to use and the placement of the screw.
Kind regards,
Wahidstx
Yes, old Neatos only have the wheel spring attached to the bottom chassis. But, there is a workaround if the wheel module itself did not break. If just the support on the Neato bottom chassis itself broke, we suggest that you screw the tension spring in the robots cover. You will see two openings in the top cover where you can screw the springs. This will need to be done for both wheels.
Then to put the robot together, we suggest detaching the wheels and leaving the spring attaches to the top frame. You can close the robot and attach the spring to the wheel only when the robot is closed. You can easily lift the wheel up and attach it and then put it back down.
If you do need to purchase a replacement wheel if it is broken, we still suggest to screw the springs into the top cover of the robot.
Hope this helps.
